What is Pure Tone Testing?
Also known as audiometric testing, employee’s hearing is measured by response to electronic tones given in each hearing frequency. This is the first step toward establishing a Hearing Conservation Program, a requirement for any employer with a noise level of 85 decibels or higher in their work environment. A baseline is established with the first test, and is compared to yearly to determine any hearing loss that may be work-related. The EOS staff is CAOHC certified.
What is CAOHC?
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation--The licensing board for Occupational Hearing Testing.
What is NIOSH?
National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health --the licensing board for Occupational Health programs, including spirometry and fit testing.
What is OSHA?

What is Fit Testing?
Fit testing is used to determine that a respirator fits properly, and to determine how well the respirator is working.
